Ep. #21 - House of Freedom, located in Boynton, Oklahoma, has been helping veterans experiencing hunger, homelessness, and hopelessness in the community from the beginning. This organization was built on faith. Since starting, they’ve demonstrated a steadfast grit and grind to help others in their crisis. House of Freedom is the only non-profit dedicated to homeless men in this area. The House of Freedom has held to their original purpose of providing food, shelter, independence, and sustainability. But it was an instruction from God to the founder, Kevin Jackson that makes this podcast episode so unique and powerful. Kevin says he heard God tell him to give ALL of the nonprofit’s money to the church. After ensuring that he had indeed heard God correctly he shared this with his board members and by faith, he obeyed. After a few weeks Pastor Michael Todd, the Pastor of Transformation Church blessed Kevin with an unexpected miracle and proved that when God speaks and we obey, He’ll bless us in ways we could never imagine. Kevin says he had no idea this would happen. All he did was obey. I have a similar testimony when I trusted what God told me to do and I received a HUGE blessing in return as well. We don’t “give to get”. We simply hear God, trust and obey and things just happen. It’s kind of difficult to explain all of this. You have to experience it to really understand it. As Kevin shares about the great things he’s doing to serve our communities, I also hope you hear from God in a way you’ve never heard Him before. The purpose of this podcast is to encourage and empower you. By listening to this I’m sure we’ve met that goal.
